Why we were hired

We worked with Ellers Farm Distillery to create a multi-year digital roadmap that would set them up to be successful from day one. Our team were tasked with the unique prospect of drawing up a digital infrastructure from a blank slate.

 

As a start up Ellers Farm had no digital infrastructure other than personal emails. The team had carte blanche to derive all things digital including: technology stacks, data strategy, marketing strategy, full EPOS recommendations and visitor centre ticketing systems.

What we achieved

The drinks industry is a highly competitive environment with major companies controlling hundreds of brands and spirit sectors. To enter such a crowded marketplace requires not just an exceptional product but an exceptional team. The Ellers Farm team comprised industry veterans and award winning distillers. Nevertheless, they still needed a digital strategy and infrastructure that would support their global ambitions. 

 

The team I lead were tasked with creating a world beating digital estate that would enable and empower the Ellers Farm team to launch Dutch Barn Vodka to the world, that works seamlessly across every aspect of the business form initial procurement, through manufacturing and into sales,, captures consumer data and then feeds that data back into the procurement process.

We needed to be able to analyse data forensically across the full manufacturing and sales pathway and use that insight to drive efficiencies and product innovation. 

 

We developed a multi-tier approach using an industry-standard ERP system to run the manufacturing and financial systems allied to a Data Lake strategy that enabled a true single customer view that could be interrogated via a range of CRM, CMS, financial and epos systems built in a plug and play environment.
